Soggy weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of the die-hard Digifit Carnival Burn participants who came out in their numbers last Wednesday to get in one last workout ahead of the fast-paced Carnival weekend of activities. Hundreds sweated to current soca hits as their instructors put them through their paces. Others, too shy to join in, were lured by the music and stayed on to watch. A secret judge, tasked with finding the most dedicated and enthusiastic participants, made her way through the crowd as they jumped, kicked and ‘wined’ their way to healthier and fitter bodies in preparation for Carnival Monday. Ravi B joined the instructors onstage, performing some of his biggest hits while leading the crowd in aerobics.

Inviting them to “screw de bulb” with him, he helped them cool down from what turned out to be a vigorous workout. Destra’s performance kept the training on course. Warming them up for crossing the stage, she sent them running to the exits before calling them back to continue jumping to her brisk and engaging performance. Lucky participants won prizes from Digicel’s partners, going home with hampers from Ginseng Up, Pascual Yosport, Grainz, Blue Waters, GNC, Gatorade and Degree. In the end, everyone was a winner, as all of the participants went home feeling energised and fit and ready to hit the stage come Carnival Monday and Tuesday.
