The body found off a precipice at the Heights of Guanapo in Arima last Wednesday has been identified as that of Zachary La Rose, of Harmony Drive, Maturita, Arima.
I would like to highly commend the police officers of the Longdenville Police Post for their prompt response to a report of excessive noise and disturbance of the peace on the night of May 6, 2018, which took place at London Street, Longdenville, at an event where music was being blasted at an excessively loud level from a green van which was parked directly in front of the home of an 82-year-old elder.
The noise was so loud that houses nearby were vibrating. Persons could barely hear conversations or on their phones.
Whilst I understand that an event was taking place, the noise levels were far too excessive and went on for many hours, the effects of which can negatively impact elderly persons, babies, as well as animals.
As a concerned citizen I made a report to the Longdenville Police Station. I was pleased to see that they responded within minutes and even stayed for half an hour at the venue to ensure that the situation was under control.
Kudos to the Longdenville police officers for their quick response and for a job well done.
