Promised change too slow in coming

It’s My Write

Is there a unit in the Prime Minister’s office that monitors the opinion columns in the newspapers? It appears not and I am very confused because the country voted for change. However, this change is really too slow and citizens are wondering and wondering.

I am advised that there is only one snake bite facility in the country and this is at the Sangre Grande Hospital. I am amazed and shocked at the plight of a snake bite victim. I demand an urgent explanation from both the Minister of Health and, to a lesser extent, the Minister of Agriculture. Do you all really care? I expect both ministers to apologise and have this situation corrected immediately.

Citizens deserve better from a government that was voted into office on the promise of making the country better. I urge the PM to set up a Web site so that citizens can articulate their concerns. We voted for that and nothing less.
