The Carnival is over went Kitchener’s bitter-sweet lament of loves lost and Carnivals past. Little did he know that he put goat-mouth on Carnival. Long-time Carnival is dead. Gone are the old symbols, sweet calypso and sweeter pan.

I decided to watch Carnival 2011 on TV, and settled in quite nicely. I had all the necessary things that would add to the occasion—non alcoholic drinks, potato chips and an assortment of fruits. Add to that, a comfortable chair.
